Discussions

Course discussions let you ask questions, share ideas, and learn from classmates and teachers.

Before you begin

1. Log in to BrightLearn.
2. Open an Active course with discussions enabled.

Step 1 — Open discussions

1. Go to My Courses and open your course.
2. Click Discussions, Forum, or a discussion lesson in the lesson list.

Step 2 — Read existing topics

1. Scroll through the list of discussion threads.
2. Click a topic title to read posts and replies.

Step 3 — Start a new topic

1. Click New topic, Ask a question, or Create post.
2. Type a clear title for your question.
3. Type your message in the text box.
4. Click Post or Submit.

Step 4 — Reply to others

1. Open a topic.
2. Scroll to the bottom.
3. Type your reply in the comment box.
4. Click Reply or Post.

Troubleshooting

I cannot post.

Discussions may be read-only until your teacher opens them, or your enrollment may still be pending.

My post did not appear.

Refresh the page. Check if the post needs teacher approval.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are discussions private?

Usually only students and teachers enrolled in the course can see course discussions.
