Video Not Playing

If a lesson video will not load or play, try these steps in order.

Before you begin

  1. Log in to BrightLearn.
  2. Confirm your course enrollment is Active (not Pending).
  3. Open the video lesson from Watch videos.

Step 1 — Refresh the page

  1. Click the Refresh button in your browser.
  2. Open the lesson again.
  3. Click Play.

Step 2 — Check your internet

  1. Pause the video and wait 30 seconds.
  2. Move closer to Wi‑Fi or switch to mobile data.
  3. Close other apps or tabs using bandwidth.

Step 3 — Try another browser

  1. Open BrightLearn in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
  2. Log in and open the same lesson.
  3. Click Play again.

Step 4 — Disable extensions

  1. Turn off ad blockers or privacy extensions temporarily.
  2. Reload the lesson page.
  3. Try playing the video.

Step 5 — Update your browser

  1. Install the latest browser update.
  2. Restart the browser.
  3. Try the video again.

On mobile, close other apps and rotate to landscape for a better player view.

Step 6 — Contact support

If the video still fails:

  1. Note the course name and lesson title.
  2. Tell your teacher or administrator the error message if one appears.
  3. Try the lesson on another device to see if the problem is device-specific.
